The Rovinj coast is a unique natural gem with 2289 ha of protected green areas, 14 islands, islets and 6 cliffs. The sea is extremely clean and attracts lovers of diving and snorkeling. The 67 km long coast offers numerous beaches, and one of them is the Borik beach located in the sheltered cove of Val de Lesso in the northern part of the city in the continuation of a very quiet residential area.
It is one of the most popular beaches in Rovinj, immersed in greenery, with very clean sea and a beautiful view of the old town center and the islet of Figarola. Thanks to relatively shallow depths and an accessible entrance to the sea, this 450 m long beach is intended for families with children. A paved promenade 170 m long is connected to the beach with seven accesses and a green zone and two large plateaus for sunbathing, and a special part of the beach is intended for dogs.
The forest with tall pines provides pleasant shade even during the hottest days, and refreshments are always available thanks to catering establishments in the immediate vicinity. The coastal path connects this beach with the Valdaliso camp and, further on, with the Amarin resort.
The entire zone is horticulturally arranged and greened and equipped with so-called beach services. In the middle part there is a children's playground and a parking area in the forest part.
